The finals of the Hungarian Entrepreneurship World Cup was held on August 4.

Ten startups competed in the final of the Hungarian Entrepreneurship World Cup, and MedInnoScan‘s innovative digital healthcare solution was selected as the winner.

MedInnoScan develops medical diagnostic artificial intelligence and has developed an application for dermatological problems. Patients can take a photo of the affected skin area, and then dermatologists connected to the system can make a diagnosis, propose therapies, therapy and write prescriptions for any necessary drugs.

MedInnoScan won a USD $100,000 service package and discounts provided by the Entrepreneurship World Cup, as well as the opportunity to participate in its Global Accelerator program. EWC champions from nearly 200 countries will take part in the accelerator program, where MedInnoScan will represent Hungary and have the opportunity to enter the TOP 100 at the same time. The Top 100 startups will then compete at the November Global Final in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where the absolute winners of the series will be announced.

Meanwhile, Hungary’s ForeStream was also named the best in the Idea category. The startup is working to develop a system where it can detect and measure early signs of dementia by analyzing movement data and help prevent and treat it early.

“It was hard to make a decision because you are all working on really exciting and valuable projects. It was good to see that serious results had already been achieved, whether in traction, pilot projects or collaborations. We were dealing with very prepared competitors, and I had a great experience; congratulations to all participants,” said Mary Alcantara, from MKB Fintechlab and member of the EWC 2021 Hungarian jury.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is an initiative launched by the Misk Global Forum, the Global Entrepreneurship Network and The Global Education and Leadership Foundation, with nearly 300,000 entrants from more than 200 countries since its launch in 2019.
